Should I give it a try or should I move on?

Met a guy on match.com, spoke to him for about a week when he asked me out on a date. From the pictures I was not sure if I was physically attracted to him but I like our conversations and decided to go on a date with me. However, when we met I felt that instant click/chemistry. I am sure he did too. He could not take his eyes of me. He started to talk about the next date our first night out. He wanted me to meet his dog. I liked him too and I wanted to meet also. So I agreed. WHen I got home, he text me few more times. However, the following day he texted me "Guess who got called in to work." I said "No Worries." Haven't heard from him after then til the following day. I did check and he was on Match.com while claiming working; however, he has an app on his phone. So I thought that he probably changed his mind and probably went to a date with another woman and it was totally fine with me. I wasn't expecting to hear from him at all; however, as I stated earlier he texted me the following day and keep it going til the night. Again asking me to go on another date. I just said "we'll see." he said "ok!"

So what do you think? Does he like me? Or should I just move on? If he likes me then how soon should he stop checking his profile...constantly?

I guess the reason I am writing is because the match.com is very new to me and I am not sure how to feel and what to think. I promise I usually better about dating thing, but online is weirding me out.

The thing with online dating is this. Once you meet someone (and hit it off), of course you want to see them again - that's kind of the aim isn't it?. The problems arise when you try to 'shortcut' to predict the other person's feelings by putting 2+2 together and coming up with "Checking his profile constantly". If someone gives you all the signs, of course you are going to be optimistic and look forward to that person getting back in contact with you. But lets look at what you said - "We'll see" - if you were him, what would you read from that? This is online dating and not Wuthering Heights so forget dropping your handkerchief and hoping Mr Darcy will read your mood and pick it up blah blah blah :-) If you are dating online, (match or any of the other sights) you're going to have to be specific in what you tell people who are interested in you. People use online dating sites to among other things, save time. If you are not clear with someone about what you want (or if you indeed want them), how can you expect them to be? My advice? Chill out, set a rule for yourself not to check a current date's profile/online status unless you both agree to meet online for a chat & date some more people - what will be will be :-)
