Should I call him soon or should I wait?


I have been dating a 22 year old guy (I'm 18) for about 3 weeks. We met at a party, exchanged numbers and have had 3 dates. Every time, he initiated the date and took me out for hookah/sushi/high end places and has always paid. He is always a gentlemen and used to text me about how my day was going and studying was etc. On our last date (which was 3 days ago) he acted a little different and drank, so he was clearly intoxicated. We had a movie night and we didnt really do much. We kissed maybe twice, but for the most part, he just sat with his shoulder around me and his eyes half closed. He even kept on leaving on and off to get food. I was definitely slightly rude when I was texting him back to plan the date at first, and I also straight up told him that he shouldn't drink like that next time we have a date. He has not since contacted me (3 days) and I'm going to be leaving for a week tommorow for thanksgiving, so should I call him? I feel that he was hurt by the way I talked to him (and implicitly insulted him) but the other two dates were amazing and I'd like to still date him. I dont want to seem too clingy, but I also do not want him to think that I'm not interested or I'm some weird gold digger that can't handle dates at home, not at restaurants and bars. I feel really bad that I didnt realize the reason why he was acting the way he was, was because he was so comfortable around me and was not afraid to be the guy he really is. Should I call him tonight and just ask how he is, and suggest another movie night, or should I wait a couple days? (most likely he is not going to call/text me) also, would it be better to call or text him? (he has never called me, only texted)

Anonymous 		Another simple answer! Everyone drinks, some more than others. I don't mean to point out the obvious but Movie night? Isn't that a precursor for sex? I'm guessing his intoxication might have been down to nerves. Perhaps he simply over did it before meeting you? I wouldn't worry about appearing as a gold digger either unless you ordered caviar and demanded he drink expensive champaign from your shoe :-)
If he doesn't call you to apologise for his drunken behaviour (don't make excuses for him being comfortable around you just yet) then my advice would be to leave him well alone - do you really want a future with someone who can't handle their booze and especially when you know that you are more than willing to make excuses for him (and doubt yourself) already? Happy Thanksgiving (probably a bit late there!)

(God I'm smoking hot tonight, apart from the thanksgiving thing)
