Introducing extra sexual partners into an existing relationship - right or wrong?

Hiya,a fews days ago my partner of 6 years brought up the topic of sleeping with other people AND completely out of the blue! He's not planning to (or at least he'd better not!) but we did have a long discussion about the rights and wrongs of introducing extra partners into a relationship. We're not into swinging (if that what you call these days?) but thought I'd share our discussion with you! For me personally, I'm a one-man woman but I wonder if there is a-change-a-coming? What do you all think?

I'm with the one-man brigade and think if you're gonna' swing then you should specify that at the outset of a relationship and not half way through - a bit old fashioned maybe but imagine if a couple had grown up kids and one of the kids saw one of the parents with another man/woman - how would that be explained? Not exactly a great role model! People can do what the hell they like as long as they don't mess with there kids minds! Hi Lisa, I found your question interesting because I've also debated the same subject but with friends!..My answer: I think It depends totally on the couple and the strength of their relationship. If both people agree to it (sex outside the relationship) and also agree that jealousy cannot play a part then I imagine that would ok. The trouble starts when one of the parties is less confident or not as active as the other and thats when the issue of balance kicks in. After talking about it with the girls + one man, that kind of set up would not suit us but then, none of us would admit to being a bit of a sleep about type of person would they!

I've told a few of my mates about this site so hopefully there'll be a few more questions!
