How can I let my boyfriend be nice to me?


For some reason I put up a huge wall and won't allow him to buy me things or pay for some things. It makes him feel bad and then I feel bad, but honestly I don't know how to change it. I know it is crazy but it is just my reaction to kindness, and I am this way with most people.

I just want my boyfriend to feel like he can do nice things for me without me getting upset or wishing he hadn't.

If he knows your personality he should be aware that you are like this with most people. However, he may not be able to help feeling slightly ofended. You should just talk to him. The best thing to say is thank you (in a sincere way) and say something like "I know sometimes it seems like I don't appreciate this sort of thing but I really do".
