Guy likes me but isn't ready to date anyone + his ex has messed with his head! ?


I met this guy online who I seemed to click with. We spent some a few months chatting and getting to know one another before I eventually agreed to go on a date with him. The first date ended up being perfect, lots of chemistry, we deffinately seemed to like one another and he invited me back to his (no sex). We arranged a second date which ultimately never happened. It turns out his ex had suddenly got back in touch with him (they broke up over a year previous), I think after finding out about our date which was his first since he split with his ex. He says he and his ex are not seeing each other and that that he has no intention of getting back with them but they have completely messed with his head and he just can't think about dating right now. I really like guy and see potential of having more with him, he says he likes me, he's just not ready to date right now. He doesn't want to keep me around as a friend either (we are Facebook friends still though). Should I give this guy space to sort out his head and if so how much space, or should I just move on. I don't have much interest in dating anybody else right now and I don't mind waiting for him within reason but just wondered what others take on it is?

Anonymous 		I think if he's said he can't think about dating right now he should have thought before he decided to go online - what are you? Someone to help people get over their exes? Move on - there are PLENTY of people who DO know what they want and I bet you'll soon forget this one once you date a few others who can dedicate 110% of their time to you :-)
