Is ten years too much of an age gap?


I've just met a lovely man but when I told him my age he practically fell over (I'm 50 and he's 40) Even though I take care of myself and look ok for my age, it worries me that age is eventually going to be an issue. I've always dated people older than myself so this is totally new for me.
